Wood vs Cork Handles:
Both the wood and cork handles are used to transfer heat from the electric transformer to the iron tip. The wooden handles are longer and firmer, which are best used for tougher leather. With the wooden handles you are able to use your shoulder and body weight to press into the leather. The 1007 wooden handle has a curved design for a more comfortable and ergonomic hold. The cork handles are smaller and lighter than the wooden handles. The cork handles are best used with lighter irons. They work well with lighter weight leathers, and for adding fine details. The choice between the 2 wood handles and 2 cork handles is a personal choice based on grip preference.
Each handle works with all tips. The cord on each handle is 1.5 meters, roughly 5 feet.
